The Aim of our Incentive Program

With attractive e-Vehicle subsidy programs the Carinthian State Government created a monument for e-Mobility in our region in the last years. The primary und enduring goal is to reduce traffic-related carbon emissions, to combat urban noise pollution and to gradually transform conventional conceptions of mobility.

The e-Vehicle subsidy program is a public start-up financing for the e-mobility market in the first place. Because of that, the funding guidelines provide limited periods.

Financial Support for e-Vehicles


Since February 2013 a new subsidy program, which will be operated within the framework of the EU project CEMOBIL, was initialized.

With this EU project and an additional funding of the Carinthian Government citizens have the possibility to cheaply buy e-cars or use them in a very cost-effective way (total 66 e-cars).

The beneficiary is obligated to produce photovoltaic electricity to cover the additional demand on electricity. Either the beneficiary participates in the citizen power plant in Klagenfurt-Viktring or builds his individual photovoltaic plant. The project is operated by the IPAK (International Project Management Agency Klagenfurt).

The Carinthian Government provided a total funding of € 400.000,--. It is split into € 200.000,-- for the purchase of e-cars and into € 200.000,--, used for the photovoltaic plant/unit (participation in the citizen power plant or building an individual photovoltaic plant).

Financial Support for charging stations for the economy and business

Make a decision to buy a charging station and you will get financial support of 20% on the purchase price.

If Carinthian companies buy a charging station, they will be supported with a 20% funding by "Lebensland Kärnten", an initiative of the Carinthian Government.

Most of Carinthian Municipalities and many employers provide this service for their employees and customers.
